Today we want to share one of our favorite content ideas. It’s using PLR articles to write quick and easy blog posts! This is a great way to add content to your site without having to put too much thought into it.  Trust us and keep reading, you're going to love this tip.

What is PLR? Glad you asked! PLR is Private Lable Rights content that you purchase and have the right to edit and publish the article as your own.  PLR content is an affordable way to get ahead on your editorial calendar without hiring a ghostwriter.

We have some simple techniques and ideas to make the content your own. It’s about so much more than hitting copy-paste and adding PLR articles to your site (which we don’t recommend at all).

First – Start With Quality PLR

This is the most important step. You have to start out with quality PLR.  You don't want to waste your time fixing crappy PLR article

It’s just too much work to clean up and fix crappy PLR articles that you can buy a dime a dozen all the long. Trust me, it’s not worth it. Instead, spend a little more on quality content you can actually use.

Second – Make It Your Own

Next, it’s time to make it your own. If you’re going to post the article more or less “as-is” on your blog, paste it into draft and give it a light edit. Make sure the writing matches your tone of voice, and if needed do a few light edits to make it fit better for your audience.

For example, if your audience is parents of toddlers and you’re using general parenting content, change “child” occasionally to toddler and rework a couple of examples here and there to work for toddlers instead of school-aged children.

Third – Use and Reuse It in Different Ways

Of course blog posts aren’t the only way to use PLR content. You can also use it to create:

• opt-ins for your email list
• email messages
• products
• content for paid membership sites

A benefit to purchasing PLR is you can use it multiple times by adding articles to your blog and then compile them into a short report you can use as a lead magnet.

 

Fourth – Use PLR as Inspiration and a Research Tool for Original Content

Keep in mind that you don't have to use the PLR at all in its current form to benefit from it.  PLR providers put time and energy into researching popular and profitable topics, you can easily leverage that by purchasing an article bundle or short report and using it as research for your own original content.

While this might not be a typical use of PLR content it can save you a lot of time researching popular and profitable topics.  Take a read through the PLR package and come up with your own spin on the topic, you can then copy and paste portions of the content into your post and end up with quick evergreen content.
